Golden apple crisp with a crumbly oat topping

Published September 29, 2026 by the Cozy Recipe Kitchen

Apple crisp is everything we love about apple pie without the fuss of rolling a crust. Just slice, sprinkle and bake.

A mix of tart and sweet apples gives the best flavor and texture. Serve it warm with vanilla ice cream.

Tips for Success

  • Make the topping ahead and freeze it for up to 3 months.
  • For a smaller crisp, halve the recipe and bake in an 8-inch square dish.
